6 Held for Indulging in Bike Stunts, Dangerous Driving in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police arrested half a dozen teenagers for performing illegal bike stunts and dangerous driving, thereby creating nuisance on the roads.
It came to the notice of the police that there has been a rise in incidents of bike stunts, rash driving, over-speeding, and reckless riding on public roads. Such dangerous activities were creating fear among the public and putting the lives of riders, pedestrians, and other motorists at serious risk, said Task Force Deputy Commissioner of Police, Gaikwad Vaibhav Raghunath.
According to him, the accused created disturbances by performing dangerous vehicular stunts on roads, thereby misleading the public, instilling fear and confusion, and acting with gross negligence that endangered human lives.
The accused were riding together on bikes from Attapur to Aramghar while performing dangerous stunts, causing sparks to fly from the vehicle and posing a serious threat to other commuters.
“Performing stunts such as wheelies, racing, zig-zag riding, triple riding, and riding without safety measures on public roads is a clear violation of traffic rules and endangers public safety. Appropriate legal action has been initiated against the accused under the relevant provisions of law,” he said. Following information, the Rajendranagar Zone Team, along with Attapur police, apprehended the accused persons and seized their vehicles.
The arrested include Syed Shahed, Shaik Naseer Hussain, Mohammed Arbaz Hussain Khan and Shaik Junaid, all residents of Hassannagar, Mohammad Bin Isa and Abdul Samad, both residents of Kalapather.
Shahed, Shaik Naseer Hussain, Junaid and Mohammad Bin Isa were involved in a petty case at Bahadurpura police station regarding a bike stunt. Khan was previously involved in a POCSO case registered at Attapur police station.
The police advised parents to closely monitor and counsel their children against engaging in such unlawful and life-threatening activities. Citizens are requested to cooperate with the police and promptly report incidents of dangerous driving, reckless riding, and bike stunts on public roads.
