5 Held for Selling Banned Manja Online

The commissioner said certain portals were found selling manja at high prices and warned that criminal cases would be registered against anyone indulging in its online sale

HYDERABAD: Following recent incidents of killer Chinese manja being sold through e-commerce portals, Hyderabad police have intensified efforts to identify platforms offering the illegal product online.

A day after police commissioner V.C. Sajjanar warned e-commerce companies against such sales, police arrested five persons Kandesh Pawan Kumar, Rohit Agarwal, B. Nikhil, Mohd Moin Mallick, and Abdul Kareem for selling manja. A total of 155 bobbins were seized from the accused.
