Hyderabad:As of Tuesday, 400 JBM electric buses resumed operations after receiving fitness certification, following their suspension earlier this month.
On July 2, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) suspended 500 JBM buses under the National Electric Bus Programme after recurring high‑voltage battery incidents. Officials had then stated that the entire fleet was likely to be operational within two to three days.

TGSRTC operates a fleet of 1,050 electric buses, of which 500 belong to JBM. The corporation also runs electric buses supplied by Olectra and MEIL. The suspended JBM fleet will be restored in phases once fitness clearance is issued by experts and senior RTC officials.
