Nalgonda: Anita Ramachandran, the secretary of Women and Children Welfare and district nodal officer, announced the implementation of four new welfare schemes on Sunday during a programme in Gundrampally, Chityal mandal. The schemes — Rythu Bharosa, new ration cards, Indiramma houses, and Indiramma Atmeeya Bharosa — aim to support farmers and families in the district.

During the event, Ramachandran distributed sanction letters to the selected beneficiaries. She emphasised that the selection process for beneficiaries would continue on a saturation mode to ensure that all eligible individuals are eventually covered. “For those whose names have not yet been included in the beneficiary lists, there is no need to worry. The selection process is ongoing, and we are committed to reaching every eligible beneficiary,” she said.

Ramachandran also addressed the farmers directly, announcing that the Rythu Bharosa funds would be deposited into their bank accounts starting Tuesday.

Officials acknowledged that while the initial distribution has raised hopes among many applicants, some were understandably disappointed by not being selected at this stage. Ramachandran reassured that efforts are underway to identify and support all remaining eligible beneficiaries in the forthcoming phases of the programme.

The distribution of the welfare schemes so far includes:

• Indiramma houses: Sanctioned to 115 families

• New ration cards: Issued to 90 families

• Rythu Bharosa: Allocated to 652 farmers

• Indiramma Atmeeya Bharosa: Granted to 12 families
