KAMAREDDY: Four persons, including two children, were killed in a road accident on National Highway 44 near Jangampalli bus stand in Bhiknoor mandal of Kamareddy district on Wednesday. A speeding tipper, coming from the wrong direction, rammed into a scooter carrying the victims who were travelling from Kamareddy to Bhiknoor. A man and his daughter died on the spot, while the woman’s daughter and infant son succumbed to injuries after being shifted to hospital.

According to sources, Kishan, a resident of Karadpalli village in Tadwai mandal, works as a pastor at a church in Adilabad. His daughter Jeslin, who had recently given birth to a baby boy, Judson (three months old), had come to her parental home from Khammam for rest, accompanied by her elder son Joel Prakash (4).
Since their house in the village was too small to accommodate everyone, the family rented a house in Shabdipur of Kamareddy mandal. On Wednesday, Jeslin took Judson for his three-month vaccination to a health centre in Jangampalli village, where she knew one of the nurses. She set out on an electric scooter with her two children, driven by her father, Kishan. Jeslin’s husband, Prakash, is also a pastor based in Khammam.
After the collision, locals and passersby pulled the tipper driver from the vehicle and assaulted him. Authorities later found that the truck lacked valid documents, and RTO officials imposed a fine. The Bhiknoor police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
