4 Arrested For Murder In Jagadgirigutta
Fazal lured the deceased, Mahbub, to Yellammabanda and took him to Goodwill Hotel along with his associates
Hyderabad: Four persons were arrested for allegedly murdering a scrap dealer with a criminal history, the Jagadgirigutta, police said in a press release on Wednesday.
The accused–Syed Fazal, 48, also a scrap dealer from Yellammabanda, along with Syed Jahangir, 23, Shaik Kareem, 23, and Shaik Ameer, 23, allegedly plotted the murder over a `11-lakh debt.
On August 5, Fazal lured the deceased, Mahbub, to Yellammabanda and took him to Goodwill Hotel along with his associates. There, Jahangir attacked Mahbub with a knife. As the victim collapsed, Fazal and others stabbed him multiple times. Mahbub died on the spot and the accused fled.
Investigation revealed that Fazal and his brother had given the money to Mahbub five years ago, but the latter kept delaying repayment. CCTV footage and technical clues led to the arrest of the accused from Allwyn Colony, the next day.
Police seized four mobile phones, three knives and an autorickshaw from the accused. Mahbub, a rowdy-sheeter from Musheerabad, had 13 previous cases, including for murder and theft.
