3.6 Tonnes of Kova Seized During Food Safety Raids in Hyderabad
Officials found dairy products being manufactured in unhygienic surroundings, units operating without FSSAI licences
Hyderabad: The TG SAFE Food Wing and Enforcement officials conducted inspections at six dairy product manufacturing units and a transport location within the Core Urban Region Economy (CURE) limits around Hyderabad from 5 am on Thursday.
During the inspections, officials found dairy products being manufactured in unhygienic surroundings, units operating without FSSAI licences and products being stored improperly without maintaining the required temperature.
Officials also found dairy products packed in plastic covers and transported to Hyderabad in buses and vans instead of refrigerated vehicles with cold-storage facilities.
As part of the enforcement action, some dairy units will be closed, while others will be issued show-cause and improvement notices. Officials seized 3.6 tonnes of kova being transported to Hyderabad in buses.
