Hyderabad: The Narsingi police launched searches at the residences of three persons accused of attempting to encroach upon government land in Survey No. 18 under Narsingi limits, following a complaint lodged by the tahsildar.

The accused, identified as Venugopal Goud, Balaswamy Goud and Rajesh Goud, created fake Government Orders (GOs) and falsely claimed that the land was allotted to them by the government. Authorities said the accused allegedly attempted to establish ownership over the land through fabricated documents.

According to officials, the accused had also approached the High Court by filing cases related to the disputed land. However, after the matter was reportedly dismissed recently, the alleged fabrication of fake GOs came under official scrutiny.

Taking the allegations seriously, the police initiated action and conducted searches at the houses of the accused after obtaining search warrants from the court. Police teams also carried out inspections in Gandipet village as part of the ongoing investigation.

The police force was deployed during the searches to avoid any law and order issues. Further investigation is underway to determine the extent of the alleged forgery and land encroachment attempt.
