250 Bags of Urea Sold Online by Noon in Adilabad
Officials would address any fresh problems immediately, and no complaints had been received from farmers so far regarding online bookings.
Adilabad:Agriculture officials in Adilabad district said that 250 bags of urea were sold online by noon on Monday, with farmers booking the fertiliser through the specially designed Telangana Urea Booking App.
District agriculture officer Sridhar Swamy said farmers could collect the urea bags one hour after booking through the app from any of the 200 designated seed and fertiliser outlets in the district.
He said the department initially faced technical glitches while operating the app, but the issues were resolved quickly. Farmers are now able to access the app and book urea smoothly, he added. Officials would address any fresh problems immediately, and no complaints had been received from farmers so far regarding online bookings.
Meanwhile, Kathuri Laxmanna, a farmer from Sangidi village in Bela mandal, said there was currently little demand for urea as major crops such as cotton and paddy were in the harvesting stage, when fertiliser application is generally not required.
