Dr Bhoomika Nangi’s organ donation saves five lives, honoring her legacy after a tragic road accident.

Hyderabad: A 24-year-old house surgeon, Dr Bhoomika Nangi, gave new life to five others, with her family donating her organs after she was declared brain dead on Saturday. Her heart, liver, kidneys, and eyes have now given hope to five people.

Dr Bhoomika, a resident of AP’s Ananthapuram, was the only child of Nangi Nandakumar Reddy and Lohitha and a house surgeon at Kamineni Hospital, LB Nagar.

She was injured in a road accident in Narsingi on February 1 and declared brain dead. The accident also claimed the life of her colleague Dr Jayanth, who died on the spot. They were returning home from an event when their car rammed into a divider.

Medical staff at a hospital in Gachibowli, where she was undergoing treatment, honoured her with a salute as her body was taken for organ donation.
