23-Year-Old Man Dies in Accident Near Jurala Project in Gadwal

A 23-year-old man, identified as Mahesh from A. Budidapadu village in Manavapadu Mandal, lost his life in a accident near the Jurala project in Jogulamba Gadwal district on Sunday evening. The incident occurred around 7 pm when Mahesh, along with his friend Janakiram, was returning on a motorcycle after visiting the project.

A car, reportedly driven rashly from Gadwal towards Atmakur, collided with their bike. The impact caused the motorcycle to lose control, throwing Mahesh into the downstream canal near the 53rd gate of the Jurala project, where he is feared to have been swept away due to open gates.

Janakiram sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to a hospital in Kurnool for treatment.
