22 Advocates Designated As Senior Advocates By Telangana High Court
A total of 48 advocates had applied for designation as senior advocates: Reports
HYDERABAD: The Telangana High Court has designated 22 advocates, including public prosecutor Palle Nageswar Rao, as senior advocates. The decision was taken at a Full Court meeting held on September 16 under the chairmanship of Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh, along with other judges of the High Court.
According to a notification issued by the High Court on Saturday, the 22 advocates were selected after appearing for interviews and interacting with the Permanent Committee for Designation of Senior Advocates in August. A total of 48 advocates had applied for designation as senior advocates. The latest selection takes the total number of designated senior advocates in the Telangana High Court to more than 100. The High Court had last designated 36 advocates as senior advocates in 2022. Nageswar Rao is also a former president of the Telangana High Court Advocates’ Association.
Those designated as senior advocates in the latest exercise were: Mantri Rama Rao, A.K. Jaya Prakash Rao, M. Rajendra Reddy, Yerabati Rama Rao, Manmohan Dundu, Kalpana Ekbote, A. Prabhakar Rao, Y. Ratnakar, K. Raghavacharyulu, J.V. Prasad, E.V. Uma Maheswar Rao, Srinivas Velagapudi, Dr J. Vijayalaxmi, Chetluri Srinivas, Palle Nageswar Rao, V.V.S.N. Raju, P.S. Rajasekhar, Ramesh Babu Vishwanathula, Thomas George, Chikkudu Prabhakar, P. Vishnuvardhana Reddy and Vivek Jain.
