Adviser to the state government Mohammad Ali Shabbir said ₹200 crore had been sanctioned for a Young India Integrated Residential School and College in the Bhiknoor area and that development works in education, healthcare, roads, drinking water and agriculture were being accelerated in Kamareddy constituency.

The newly elected governing body of the Rameshwarampally Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society (PACS) in Bhiknoor mandal took oath on Saturday in the presence of Shabbir and Zaheerabad MP Suresh Kumar Shetkar. Baddam Indrakaran Reddy took oath as the new PACS chairman along with other governing body members.

Speaking at the programme, Shabbir said farmers’ welfare remained the top priority of the Congress government led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. He said PACS should function not merely as lending institutions but as centres providing farmers timely access to crop loans, seeds, fertilisers and other agricultural services.

He said the government was implementing measures including Rythu Bharosa, crop loan waiver, free power, Rythu Bima and irrigation development to strengthen the rural economy.

Several Congress leaders, elected representatives, PACS chairmen, farmers, women and villagers attended the programme.
