20-Yr-Old Biker Sustains Severe Neck Injuries After Contact With Manja
According to detective inspector Ch. Dhanunjay, the survivor, Manish, a native of Bihar, was a resident of Ayodhyanagar, Quthbullapur and works at a plastic company in Subhashnagar.
Hyderabad:A 20-year-old bike rider sustained severe neck injuries reportedly after coming into contact with a stretch of ‘manja’ strung across the road, Jeedimetla police said. Police said one end of the manja was found tied to an electric pole.
According to detective inspector Ch. Dhanunjay, the survivor, Manish, a native of Bihar, was a resident of Ayodhyanagar, Quthbullapur and works at a plastic company in Subhashnagar. Police said the incident occurred when Manish was bike with his friends.
Manish fell down after hitting the manja, with blood from the wound on his neck. His friends and passers-by summoned an ambulance. The ambulance personnel staunched the bleeding and shifted him to a local hospital. Dhanunjay stated that Manish was now in a stable condition. He said that an investigation is underway to determine where the manja came from. and who had tied it to the electricity pole.
Minister Seeks Rs 6L Aid From CMRF To Repatriate Body of Jagtial Native Dead in Ukraine
Hyderabad:Minister Adluri Laxman urged the government to provide Rs 6 lakh financial assistance from the Chief Minister’s Relief Funds to bring back the mortal remains of Avilala Sudarshan, a Jagtial-native who died in Ukraine in a Russian rocket attack on September 1.
Sudarshan, a native of Hasanabad in Jagtial Urban mandal of Jagtial district, was working in Ukraine. His family has been waiting for 39 days for his mortal remains to be brought back home after the Indian Embassy reportedly asked them to pay `6 lakh for repatriation.
Sudarshan’s wife Vavilala Bhargavi, and mother Gangu, approached the CM Pravasi Prajavani help desk in Hyderabad seeking financial assistance.
Minister Laxman and Manakondur MLA Dr Kavvampalli Satyanarayana, who were attending the Prajavani help desk, consoled the bereaved family and expressed concern over the delay.
Responding to their plea, the minister spoke to officials of the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) and requested Rs 6 lakh to facilitate the return of Sudarshan’s mortal remains. He also wrote a letter to the Chief Minister seeking the necessary assistance. Mandha Bheem Reddy, vice-chairman of the government’s NRI advisory committee, guided the family on the process.
