The accused killed sofa maker in connection with previous enmity: Police
Hyderabad: The Asifnagar police on Tuesday arrested two persons in connection with the murder of a sofa maker, Mohammed Qaboola alias Addu, in New Kishannagar on Sunday.
The arrested have been identified as Mohd Waseem alias Yaba (27) and his friend Sameer Khan alias Junaid (25), both residents of Kishan Nagar in Jhirra, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police, South West Zone, G Chandra Mohan.
Yaba and Junaid were friends with Qaboola (28) of Asifnagar. As the two arrested persons had previous enmity with Qaboola, they decided to eliminate him. The duo met at Nammak Kharkhana and consumed liquor on Sunday. They later made a call to Qaboola asking him to talk about an issue.
But Qaboola denied. Holding a knife, Yaba and Junaid left Nammak Kharkhana to search for Qaboola on their bike. At about 9.45 pm, they found Qaboola along with his friends present in a narrow lane at New Kishan Nagar.
They picked an argument with Qaboola and in a fit of rage Junaid attacked him with a knife. On seeing this, Qaboola’s friends left the place. After Qaboola collapsed with bleeding stab injuries, Yaba threw a boulder on his head.
Based on information, the police arrested Yaba and Junaid and a knife, a mobile phone and a bike were seized from their possession. The police inquiries revealed that Yaba was earlier involved in an attempt to murder case reported at Asifnagar police station.
