2 Arrested In Drugs Case

HYDERABAD: Police on Thursday arrested two persons in connection with a drugs case. The arrested have been identified as Mohit Sanjay Mehra alias Mohit, 33, a businessman and the resident of Narsingi and Nagaram Jason Raj alias Jason, 28, a private employee and the resident of Padmaraonagar in Secunderabad.

Mohit is a local peddler, while Jason was a consumer, DCP (task force) Y.V.S. Sudheendra, said. Mohit was born and brought up in Mumbai and completed his education in BTech (mechanical). Mohit started his own business and for expansion of his business, he migrated to Hyderabad in 2021 along with his wife. His divorce led him to consume drugs with friends and became a regular visitor to pubs late at night, the DCP said.

For five months, he was involved in cocaine peddling and selling drugs to his customers in Hyderabad at a premium to earn easy money and lead a lavish lifestyle, the DCP added.
