15 Evacuated, 6 Cars Gutted in Midnight Cellar Fire at Filmnagar

Hyderabad: Fifteen residents were safely evacuated after a major fire broke out in the cellar of a residential apartment building at HUDA Enclave, Journalist Colony, in Filmnagar late on Saturday night. Six cars parked in the cellar were completely gutted in the blaze.
Upon receiving the alert, fire tenders were promptly dispatched to the scene, including a multipurpose water tender from Punjagutta, alongside water bowsers from Annapurna and Jubilee Hills fire stations.
Firefighters immediately entered the smoke-filled building, conducted a sweep, and safely evacuated 15 residents stranded inside, preventing any loss of life.
The firefighting teams brought the blaze under control and extinguished it completely, Hyderabad District Fire Officer (DFO) T. Venkanna said.
No casualties or injuries were reported, the official confirmed, adding that the prompt response and coordinated efforts of the rescue teams averted a potential tragedy.
