15 Acres of Government Land in Gajularamaram Cleared
At Katedan, HYDRAA removed a road encroachment which was being blocked by a wall
Hyderabad: HYDRAA removed road encroachments at Katedan and reclaimed 15 acres of government land at Gajularamaram, which was being encroached by KL University, on Tuesday. Of this land, the university had encroached upon 0.5 acres of government land.
Authorities stated that the government in 2009 had allotted the land to Rajeev Swagruha housing scheme. Since the constructions did not happen, local leaders swarmed on the land, installed their own fencing and sheds and encroached on the land.
After local residents complained to HYDRAA, authorities investigated and established that the land had been encroached upon. HYDRAA commissioner A.V. Ranganath also inspected the land, after which he directed authorities to remove the encroachments and put up government fencing.
At Katedan, HYDRAA removed a road encroachment which was being blocked by a wall. Authorities removed the wall and connected Madhuranagar to Indira Society Colony. Officials removed walls and commercial sheds which were barring colony residents from moving on the roads amid local police presence.
