₹14.77 Cr Released For Three Railway Overbridges In Nizamabad
Telangana government releases ₹14.77 crore for three railway overbridges and four-lane approach roads in Nizamabad to ease traffic congestion.
Giving a big relief to the people of the undivided Nizamabad district, the state government has released over `14.77 crore for the construction of three railway overbridges (ROBs) and four-lane approach roads, aimed at easing traffic congestion at railway crossings.
The funds were sanctioned for ROBs at Arsapally, Nizamabad bypass road on the Manmad–Secunderabad railway line, and Madhav Nagar on the Hyderabad–Nizamabad highway. An amount of `8.48 crore has been sanctioned for the Arsapally ROB, `4.04 crore for the ROB at the Nizamabad bypass, and `2.24 crore for the Madhav Nagar ROB.
Once completed, the projects are expected to reduce waiting time at railway gates and improve connectivity for commuters and emergency services. Responding to this, Nizamabad rural MLA R. Bhupati Reddy said the Congress government was committed to strengthening infrastructure based on public needs. He urged BJP and BRS leaders to refrain from “unnecessary politics” over development works.
He also asked BJP representatives from the district to press the Centre for the release of funds due to Telangana. The Congress MLA said his government would continue efforts to secure funds and accelerate development works in Nizamabad district. TPCC president, MLC B. Mahesh Kumar Goud, advisor to the state government, and Bodhan MLA P. Sudarshan Reddy initiated steps for the release of funds.
