11 Illegal Water Motors Seized in Hyderabad Vigilance Drive

Hyderabad: In a special vigilance drive at Srinagar Colony, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) seized 11 illegal motors attached to water connections that were disrupting public water supply.
Officials said the use of unauthorised motors affects water distribution and leads to low pressure for other residents in the area. The enforcement action is part of ongoing efforts to ensure fair and regulated water supply across the city.
The board has warned that repeat offenders will face a fine of ₹5,000, seizure of equipment, and possible criminal cases.
Residents experiencing low water pressure have been advised to report the issue directly to HMWSSB officials or call the helpline 155313, instead of installing illegal motors.
