Vishwakarma Jayanthi Celebrated at Rameswaram

Rameswaram:The Vishwakarma jayanthi festival was organised in a grand manner by the Rameswaram Vishwakarma Ainthozhil Sangam at the Sri Akkasalai Pillaiyar temple complex on Keelarathaveethi in Rameswaram.
God Vishwakarma incarnated in the Chithirai star in the month of Purattasi. Vishwakarma jayanthi festival is celebrated all over the country to commemorate the day.
The festival in Rameswaram, which began with Ganapati homam, was followed by abhishekam, special decorations and deeparathanai for Vishwakarma.
Following this, the idol of Vishwabrahma was installed in the decorated temple, followed by a procession of hundreds of women carrying flower trays along the four ratha veethis, accompanied by auspicious music.
The Rameswaram Vishwakarma Five Industries Association executive committee and general committee members gathered in large numbers with their families to worship Vishwakarma.
