Thanajavur:The Rahul Gandhi-Kanimozhi meeting has put an end to rumours regarding DMK-Congress electoral alliance, said K. Selvaperunthagai, state president of the Congress, here on Friday.
He told mediapersons that both leaders have held talks. But details are not available. No one knows what they talked. Even if we know about the talks, it is not proper to discuss it with the press, he held.
“Talks have gone well. Certainly, a good decision may come out. But the talks have put an end to rumours and information coming in the media regarding the Congress-DMK alliance,” he added.
Describing the Congress-DMK alliance as a natural one which has been proved by the talks, and a final decision will be taken by Congress president Mallikarjuna Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, Selvaperunthagai said.
Party members can air their views regarding the alliance either to me or the all India Congress leadership without discussing it in public, he said.
