TN: Temple Priests Seek Adequate Funds For Poosarigal Welfare Board

Tiruchy: The Tamil Nadu Kovil Poosarigal (temple priests) welfare sangam appealoed to the Chief Minister C.Joseph Vijay to allocate adequate fund for the poosarigal welfare board besides appointing a temple poosari as chairman of the poosarigal welfare board.

While welcoming the sizable budgetary allocation for various schemes of the temples, Vasu also wanted to exempt for collecting 18 per cent GST tax in the rural temple renovation works, to increase the subsidy for the poosarigal from Rs 12000 to 50,000.
