Anbumani Ramadoss says a new political environment has emerged in Tamil Nadu and predicts a PMK-led government in 2031.

More than 500 people from various parties and movements, including former Edappadi MLA Kaveri, joined the Pattali Makkal Katchi in the presence of president Anbumani Ramadoss on Sunday at Magudanchavadi in Salem district.

Mr Ramadoss told reporters that a new political environment has emerged in Tamil Nadu after the last assembly elections. Beyond the parties that have ruled for 60 years, the PMK, which has been working hard for 38 years, has got a unique place. He said in 2031 a government led by the PMK will be firmly established in Tamil Nadu.
The Tamil Nadu government should act quickly on the Cauvery and Mekedatu dam issues. Despite repeated efforts, an all-party meeting in this regard has not been convened yet. Tamil Nadu and Karnataka should live in brotherhood. There should be no law and order problem. At the same time, Tamil Nadu's rights should be restored. The Tamil Nadu government should clearly present its position that there is no need to build the Mekedatu Dam, as there are already ways to provide the required water to Bengaluru, he said..
He said two-wheelers should be provided to panchayat presidents, just as cars are provided to MLAs.
