Thanjavur: All temples in the state would be renovated in the five years period of TVK rule and facilities for devotees will be improved, said HR and CE minister S. Ramesh at Kumbakonam on Friday.

He inspected 12 Saivite temples and five Vaishnavite temples in the temple town of Kumbakonam as part of his preparatory works for Mahamaham, to be held in 2028 at Kumbakonam.

He also inspected Dhenupureeswarar temple at Patteeswaram and Swaminathaswamy temple at Swamimalai.

He said a lot of improvements were needed in these temples and, in view of Mahamaham, temples near Kumbakonam town should also be improved.
