A police inspector threatened a man that he would be falsely linked to a drug peddling case and forced him to give money.

Chennai: A police inspector was arrested for threatening the arrest of a man by falsely linking him with Tamil Nadu BSP leader Armstrong murder case and collecting Rs 35 lakh.
Inspector Mohammad Buhari was working at St Thomas Mount police station and he has been threatening Akil Kumar living in Old Washermenpet. He also threatened Akil Kumar that he would be falsely linked to a drug peddling case and forced him to give Rs 5 lakh to Seenivasan.
Akil Kumar lodged a complaint with the Elephant Pass police station and the police arrested Mohammad Buhari and Seenivasan. Further investigation is on.
