Fisherman Missing After Falling Into Sea Off Tharuvaikulam

Muthukumar, a native of Indira Nagar, Thanjavur, had ventured into the sea along with five other fishermen on a mechanised boat from Tharuvaikulam. After he fell down, his fellow fishermen launched an immediate search, which however was hampered due to strong wind and water current. The Coastal Security Group police too later joined the search operation which is still underway. Three mechanised boats have been deployed to trace Muthukumar.

The incident has caused concern among fishermen in Tharuvaikulam while Muthukumar's family continues to await his safe return.
