Rameswaram: After a second year degree student of a private college in Ramanathapuram has gone missing since August 15, her parents and villagers have complained to the district Superintendent of Police.

The 19-year-old girl is a resident of Thiruppalaikudi area in Ramanathapuram district. She had come to Ramanathapuram with other students for the Independence Day function, but had suddenly disappeared.

The other students are shocked by the disappearance and the villagers, after making a valiant search, lodged a complaint at Thiruppalaikudi police station.

Later, they filed a complaint with Ramanathapuram SP Sandeesh, alleging that Thiruppalaikudi police have not taken appropriate action.
