Airport employees will have to pay a monthly parking fee of Rs. 580 for cars and Rs. 230 for two-wheelers.
The revised rates also cover vehicles used to drop off and pick up passengers. For vehicles with fewer than 16 seats, the charge for the first 30 minutes has increased by Rs. 15 to Rs. 345. The fee for parking for up to 10 hours has risen from Rs. 990 to Rs. 1,040, while the 24-hour charge has increased by Rs. 55 to Rs. 1,155.

The steep increase is likely to affect passengers and people accompanying them to the airport.
Parking area users have also been left with little time to prepare for the revised rates, as such changes are usually announced a week or 10 days in advance.
