Chennai: The Chennai airport has been illuminated with vibrant tricolour lights as part of the celebrations for India’s 80th Independence Day, adding a festive atmosphere to the premises.

The illumination has attracted the attention of passengers arriving at Chennai from various countries as well as those departing for domestic and international destinations. Many passengers have been stopping to admire the decorations and capture photographs and videos on their mobile phones.
