Agreement signed for Chennai Central Tower
Chennai: A contract agreement for developing the Rs 349.99 crore Chennai Central Tower, a 27-storey landmark project to be located near the Central Railway Station, was signed on Thursday by Chennai Metro Asset Management Limited (CMAML), a Special Purpose Vehicle jointly formed by Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) and Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO).
The Letter of Acceptance for the project, awarded to M/s Renaatus Projects Private Limited, was issued on December 12 and today’s agreement marked a significant milestone for the venture, a press release from Chennai Metro Rail said.
The agreement was signed, in the presence of M A Siddique, Chairman of CMAML, by T Archunan, Director, CMAML, and S Manoj Poosappan, Managing Director, M/s Renaatus Projects Private Limited, representing the contractor.
The Chennai Central Tower, symbolizing Chennai’s transformation into a global metropolis and multi-model hub, would seamlessly integrate connectivity, modern amenities, and sustainability, the release said.
Designed to meet international green building standards, the tower incorporates eco-friendly construction materials, energy-efficient systems, renewable energy, and water conservation measures, setting a benchmark for sustainable urban development, it said.
