A Blinkit delivery worker is winning praise on social media for sharing the story of refusing to deliver a late-night order of rat poison, after seeing that his customer was crying and seemed to have ordered the poison with the intention of committing suicide. “The world is still worth living in because people like you exist,” wrote one user in the comment section under the video which has now gone viral, while another remarked that “A robot would have delivered."
“She just kept crying,” the delivery agent shared on the video. “Then I went to her and told that no matter what problem you have, don’t commit suicide. I asked her ‘Did you order this because you want to commit suicide?’ She replied, ‘No, bro, that’s not the case.’ I said, ‘No, don’t lie. You just want to commit suicide. If you had a rat problem, you could have ordered it around seven o’clock, or even earlier. Maybe the next day. There is no reason for ordering it at this time,” he said. He further added that he convinced the woman not to do anything rash and returned without delivering the poison after cancelling the order.
“Today I feel that I’ve accomplished something," he added in the end, and many in the comment section also seemed to share his emotion.
While his name is not clear in the videos, the account, dilli_rider_, shows him regularly sharing his daily life experiences and thoughts as a delivery agent.
