400 Thanjavur Sanitary Workers Get Clothes, Sweets for Deepavali
Gifts were presented to 400 sanitary workers, who work in 14 divisions of the city corporation
THANJAVUR: Deepavali clothes (dhothi, saree, shirt etc) and sweets were distributed to sanitary workers of Thanjavur city corporation jointly by the Thanjavur chapter of Indian National Trust for Art and Culture (INTAC) and Azhagiya Thanjai 2005 project here on Thursday.
Dr.Anjugam Bhoopathy, Mayor (in charge) presented the gifts to outsourced sanitary workers.
Gifts were presented to 400 sanitary workers, who work in 14 divisions of the city corporation.
Veerasamy Mohankumar, Health officer of the corporation, Dheenadayalan, Assistant commissioner, Kayilai Maamani Ramanathan of INTAC and Auditor Ravichandran, project director of Azhagiya Thanjai participated in the function.
Ravichandran appealed to male sanitary workers not to drink alcohol and keep the welfare of their families in mind.
