Tractor Overturns Among Devotees In Sabarimala
Eight pilgrims, including five from Andhra Pradesh, injured in the mishap: Reports
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Eight people, including two children, were injured this evening when a tractor overturned among devotees.
The accident happened on Swami Ayyappan Road and was caused by a garbage-transporting tractor losing control on a steep road during heavy rain. All the injured were taken to the hospital.
Those involved include a Malayali, five people from Andhra Pradesh, and two from Tamil Nadu. Two from Andhra Pradesh suffered broken hands.
Everyone was initially taken to Pampa Hospital, with the injured identified as Veera Reddy (30), Thetsamma (50), Druvanch (10), Nitish Reddy (26), Sunitha (55), Radhakrishnan (69), Veeramani, and Kanish Kumar (8). Radhakrishnan was later shifted to Kottayam Medical College, and Veeramani to Konni Medical College.
