Priyanka Meets Family Members of Elephant Attack Victims

Thiruvananthapuram: Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi met with the family members of Sarojini and Mani, who were tragically killed in wild elephant attacks in the constituency, on Monday.
Priyanka first visited the family of Mani at the Nedumkayam forest station in Nilambur. She then met the grieving family of Sarojini , who also lost her life in an elephant attack. During her visit, she expressed her condolences.
The MP inspected the affected areas and the trenches constructed to prevent wild animals from entering human habitation. She raised concerns about the poorly maintained trenches with forest officials and called for effective measures to be developed in consultation with residents.
Later Priyanka addressed a meeting of leaders and members of the UDF booth-level committees at Nilambur in Malappuram district.
During her three-day visit, the Congress general secretary engaged with Congress and UDF leaders at various locations within the constituency.
