Kochi Metro Phase 3 DPR Submitted, Aluva-Angamaly Route to Connect Airport

Kochi: The Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) has submitted the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the third phase of the Kochi Metro to the state government.
The 17.5-kilometre Phase 3 corridor will connect Aluva with Angamaly, with the route passing through Kariyad and Cochin International Airport before reaching Angamaly.
The proposed corridor will also provide metro connectivity to Cochin International Airport.
The study for preparing the DPR began in November last year.
Loknath Behera, who previously served as the managing director of Kochi Metro, had earlier said that the DPR for the third phase had been submitted to the government.
