Suhail's admission to the Borstal School had earlier drawn criticism.
Suhail, 19, was allegedly driving the car when it rammed into a scooter carrying three youngsters on the airport road at Nedumbassery in the early hours of October 11.

Meanwhile, a five-member investigation team visited the house of Devika, a native of Kalpetta in Wayanad and one of the three victims, on Thursday morning.
The team recorded statements and interacted with her family for over an hour, officials said.
After the accident, the family members told reporters that they are hopeful that justice would be delivered and that investigators have collected all crucial evidence in the case.
Recently, the magistrate court had dismissed the bail petitions of the accused persons.
They have filed fresh petitions at the Ernakulam District Principal Sessions Court.
