Woman Brutally Murdered by Husband in Bengaluru Suburb
K. Sharada was attacked and killed by her husband, Krishnappa, in a public street on Friday evening
In a horrific incident that unfolded in full public view, a 35-year-old woman was hacked to death by her husband in Chikkathoguru, near Electronic City in southern Bengaluru, on Friday evening. The victim, K Sharada, a domestic worker, was returning home from work around 8 pm when she was brutally attacked.
The accused, 43-year-old Krishnappa, a daily wage labourer from Bagepalli in Chikkaballapur district, allegedly travelled to Bengaluru with the intent to murder his wife. Lying in wait along her usual route, Krishnappa confronted Sharada and slit her throat with a knife, stabbing her multiple times in the neck.
Eyewitnesses said the attack was sudden and frenzied, leaving no time for bystanders to intervene. Sharada collapsed on the spot and died before any help could reach her.
As Krishnappa attempted to flee, alert locals chased and restrained him until the police arrived. He was taken into custody and a case has been registered.
Preliminary investigations suggest a history of domestic discord between the couple. Police are further probing the motive behind the premeditated killing and have sent the body for post-mortem examination. The chilling murder has left the community shaken.
