VD Satheesan Consults BJP, RSS on Govt Decisions: MV Govindan
Responding to Adoor Prakash's recent remarks that government decisions were being taken without consulting alliance partners, Govindan said the UDF was facing an unprecedented crisis in its recent history
Thiruvananthapuram: CPI(M) state secretary M V Govindan on Friday alleged that Chief Minister V D Satheesan has been consulting BJP and RSS leaders on government decisions, amid criticism by UDF convenor Adoor Prakash over the lack of consultations within the ruling alliance.
Responding to Prakash's recent remarks that government decisions were being taken without consulting alliance partners, Govindan said the UDF was facing an unprecedented crisis in its recent history.
Prakash's remarks indicated that appointments to key positions were being made without discussions with Congress leaders or alliance partners, he said.
"Then, the exact answer to who is being consulted is the BJP. The leaders of the RSS and the BJP themselves say that whatever they decide is what Satheesan does. The BJP has said that the government in Keralam is moving forward based on their decisions," Govindan said.
He alleged that Satheesan was taking advice from the BJP and RSS.
"Key leaders of the Congress themselves are saying that things are not being handled as a Congress party," he said.
Govindan alleged that KPCC president Sunny Joseph had neither rejected nor disagreed with the UDF convenor's remarks.
"He merely stated that the UDF convenor has written to the AICC and brought it to their attention. This means that within the UDF in Keralam, a major conflict has emerged in a manner unprecedented in recent history," Govindan said.
