Three Women Allegedly Harassed During Waterfall Outing In Dakshina Kannada

Mangaluru: Belthangady police have registered a case against three youths from Kerala on charges of allegedly sexually harassing three young women from Mangaluru during an outing to a waterfall in Dakshina Kannada district.
The accused have been identified as Abdul Khader Altaf (36), Faizal Adil (27) and Usman Saleem (18), all natives of Kasaragod district in Kerala.
According to police, the three women, who are studying in Mangaluru, had gone to a waterfall located within Belthangady police station limits along with the accused on May 20. During the outing, the accused allegedly behaved inappropriately with the women and sexually harassed them.
The women reportedly resisted the alleged behaviour, and the local residents at the spot intervened and restrained the youths. The public also alerted the Belthangady police about the incident.
Police brought the three accused to the police station and registered a case.
