Senior Person Assaulted Over Road Rage In Bengaluru

It is alleged Mohammed Isthiaq was on his way to his house at an apartment in BTM Layout of Bengaluru city when he was intercepted by an unidentified car driver.

The car driver was enraged after Isthiaq overtook him in his car and an upset car driver later drove past the car driven by Ishtiaq to block his way to pick up an argument. The car driver and Ishtiaq were engaged in an argument and when Ishtiyaq failed to convince the agitating car driver, he decided to leave the place with his car.

The car driver was furious at Ishtiaq and hurled stones at his car which damaged the car windows/windshield. However, the angry car driver did not stop there and he along with others chased Ishtiaq all the way to his apartment in BTM Layout and barged into the apartment. At the apartment, Ishtiyaq alleged the group created ruckus at the place besides assault on him and fled from the scene.

During the argument, the group hit Ishtiaq on his face a couple of times and Ishtiaq sustained injuries to his jaw and lost a few teeth as well. The victim was rushed to a hospital by his family members and after treatment, Ishtiaq lodged a complaint with the Hulimavu police and police have registered cases under various sections against the unidentified persons. A search is on to trace the accused persons and are said to be on the run.

The group's alleged assault on the senior person has been caught on surveillance cameras installed at the apartment.
