Sam Varghese Posted as Mangaluru Law & Order DCP in IPS Reshuffle

Mangaluru: Sam Varghese IPS has been appointed Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order), Mangaluru City, in a fresh reshuffle of IPS officers ordered by the Karnataka government on Monday.
Varghese, who was serving as Superintendent of Police, Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Bengaluru, has been transferred and posted as DCP (Law and Order), Mangaluru City, with immediate effect.
The post had been vacant following the transfer of Mithun HN, who was serving as DCP (Law and Order), Mangaluru City. Mithun was recently transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Gadag.
The government has also transferred Anita Bhimappa Haddannavar, who was serving as DCP, South West, Bengaluru, and posted her as Superintendent of Police, CID, Bengaluru, replacing Varghese.
In Bengaluru, Ram L Arasiddi, who was awaiting posting after his transfer from Koppal, has been appointed DCP, Intelligence, Bengaluru City. Lakshmi Ganesh K, also awaiting posting, has been posted as DCP, South West, Bengaluru, replacing Haddannavar.
