Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara

Bengaluru: Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara, who was hospitalised after complaining of uneasiness, said on Tuesday that his condition was stable and there was no need for anyone to worry.

In a post on X, he appealed to people not to visit him in the hospital, saying it could inconvenience other patients.

"There is no need for anyone to worry. By God’s grace, my condition is now stable. I request the public not to come to the hospital to meet me, as I do not want other patients undergoing treatment here to be inconvenienced," Parameshwara said.

Explaining the circumstances, he said he experienced a slight increase in his heart rate during the inaugural ceremony of a badminton tournament organised by the Karnataka Badminton Association in Bengaluru.

"As a precaution, I immediately went to the hospital and received the necessary medical care," he said.

He acknowledged that Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and several other well-wishers had visited the hospital out of concern for his health and enquired about his well-being.

"Many others also called to check on my health. I am grateful to everyone for your love, concern and good wishes," he added.
