Karnataka: SIR Draft Published In Karnataka, Final Publication On October 27

BENGALURU: With the completion of Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls in Karnataka, the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Monday published its draft of electoral rolls in which 4, 46, 35, 975 electors are included as against 5, 54, 32, 314 electors available as on June 16 this year.
The Enumeration phase was from June 30 to August 17 and the SIR was taken-up by the Election Commission to ensure a completely error-free, authentic and inclusive electoral roll by conducting rigorous house-to-house verification through Booth Level Officers. The final publication of the Electoral Roll is October 27.
In the draft published by the Commission stated 1, 07, 96, 339 constituting about 19.48 percent of electors are marked Absent, Permanently Shifted, Dead, Already Enrolled and Other. Out of 1, 07, 96, 339 electors marked as ASDDO, 15, 17, 042 are Absent, 65, 45, 679 marked as Permanently Shifted, 16, 39, 864 marked as Dead, 7,09, 870 marked as Already Enrolled and 3, 83, 884 marked as Other.
In Karnataka, 2, 21, 59, 240 are male electors and 2, 24, 73, 864 are female. 2, 871 are Others taking the tally of electors to 4, 46, 35, 975. Young electors (18-years) account for 3, 70, 341 in which 1, 98, 422 are male electors and 1, 71, 910 are female and 9 are marked as Others.
As many as 83, 87, 880 are electors in the age of 20-29 in Karnataka. 43, 87, 276 are male and 39, 99, 875 are female electors, besides, 729 electors marked as Others. Persons with Disability account for 5, 55, 691 including 3, 21, 600 are male electors and 2, 34, 056 female and 35 marked as Others. Among 85 plus electors, 1, 62, 692 are male and 2, 29, 606 are female electors. 4 marked as Others to take the tally to 3, 92, 302. NRI electors include 696 male and 255 female. 42, 487 are male service electors and 1,689 are female service electors.
Udupi reported 94.05 percent digitisation status in the SIR exercise followed by Haveri standing at 91.38 percent, Uttara Kannada at 91.30 percent, Dakshina Kannada at 91.27 percent and Chitradurga at 90,09 percent. Other districts of the State report below 90 percent digitisation.
Bengaluru Urban digitisation status stood at 57. 29 percent, BBMP North at 54.88 percent, BBMP Central at 54. 46 percent and BBMP South at 50.67 percent.
