Karnataka: Health Minister Khader Orders Two-Level Probe Into Chigateri Hospital Oxygen Cylinder Explosion

Mangaluru: Health and Family Welfare Minister and Mangalore MLA UT Khader has ordered two separate inquiries into the oxygen cylinder explosion inside an operation theatre at the Chigateri District Hospital in Davanagere.

In a press statement Khader said he had taken the incident seriously and had ordered the constitution of a high-level committee of senior state officials to determine the exact cause of the explosion. A separate inquiry will also be conducted at the district level under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner.

Action will be taken in accordance with the rules after the state-level and district-level inquiry reports are received and examined.
