Karnataka: BMTC Bus Conductor Suspended For Misconduct

BENGALURU: A bus conductor attached to Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation depot-43 has been suspended with pending inquiry by BMTC officials on Tuesday after the conductor was seen pushing a passenger reportedly a rag picker who tried to board the bus.
The suspended bus conductor is identified as Krishnamurthy and the incident is said to have occurred near Nelamangala toll plaza on August 2.
The video showed the conductor pushing the person who tried to get on to the bus. The commuter tried to evade the assault on the conductor but the BMTC conductor pushed on to the ground giving chase.
The actions of the conductor were caught on camera by a passerby and after taking note of the video going viral on social media platforms, BMTC officers placed him under suspension. BMTC in a statement asserted a zero-tolerance policy towards employee misconduct.
