HM Revanna-Led Congress Panel to Submit Ballari Incident Report to DKS in Three Days
The committee was formed following the clash and firing in Ballari that led to the death of Rajashekhar, a Congress worker.

Ballari: The committee constituted by the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) to look into the Ballari violence will submit its report to KPCC president and Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar within three days, committee chairman and Karnataka State Guarantee Schemes Implementation Authority chief H M Revanna said on Friday.
The committee was formed following the clash and firing in Ballari that led to the death of Rajashekhar, a Congress worker.The fact-finding panel, comprising Revanna, former MLA Jayaprakash Hegde, MLA T Raghu Murthy, MP Kumar Nayak and MLC Jakkappanavar, arrived in Ballari on Saturday morning and began collecting information related to the incident.Speaking to reporters, Revanna said the committee interacted with several individuals at the Inspection Bungalow who narrated their accounts of the events that unfolded on the day of the violence. “We also gathered details from the district administration and the police,” he said.The committee members conducted a spot inspection at the site of the incident and spoke to people who were present during the clash and also family members of Rajashekhar. “Members of the public also came forward and shared their version of the incident with us,” Revanna added.“Based on all the inputs and findings, a comprehensive report will be prepared and submitted to the KPCC president within three days,” he said.Revanna also stated that the Congress party would extend assistance to the family of Rajashekhar.However, he declined to divulge further details regarding the committee’s preliminary findings, stating that the report would be submitted to the party leadership.
