Gadag: Prof Dr Suresh V Nadagoudar Assumes Office As V-C of MGRD and PR University
Prof Nadagoudar had earlier served as the University's Founder Registrar and also held additional charge as Acting Vice Chancellor. A Professor of Law, he has held several academic and administrative positions during his career, including serving on the Syndicate and Academic Council of various universities and as a member of the Karnataka Law Commission
Gadag: Prof Dr Suresh V Nadagoudar on Thursday assumed charge as the Vice Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi Rural Development and Panchayat Raj University in Gadag following his appointment by Karnataka Governor and University Chancellor Thaawarchand Gehlot.
Prof Nadagoudar had earlier served as the University's Founder Registrar and also held additional charge as Acting Vice Chancellor. A Professor of Law, he has held several academic and administrative positions during his career, including serving on the Syndicate and Academic Council of various universities and as a member of the Karnataka Law Commission.
After assuming office, Prof Nadagoudar thanked the Governor and the state government for reposing faith in him.
He said his priority would be to strengthen the University's academic programmes, research, innovation and extension activities while furthering its mandate in rural development and Panchayat Raj education through collaborative efforts involving faculty, staff, students and other stakeholders.
