Thane/Palghar: A 70-year-old woman suffering from mental health issues and memory loss was reunited with her kin after 16 days through the use of AI and Google Search, officials said here on Monday. Razak Bi had boarded the wrong vehicle in her native Ranebennur in Karnataka's Haveri district and landed in Nalasopara in Palghar district on October 6, after which personnel from Achole police station took her to Samarth Ashram in Virar Phata for shelter, they added.
"The Jeevan Aanand Sanstha (JAS) team, combining Google Search techniques with ChatGPT to analyze localized information, managed to contact police in Ranebannur. We also mobilised local community networks. It led us to her daughters, sons-in-law and nephews, who took her home on October 22," trustee Kisan Choure said.
Reflecting on the successful effort, Choure said, "Technology shows the way, compassion brings families together."
