Searches at 30 sites across states expose MLA’s links to betting, gaming businesses

Bengaluru: Offices belonging to Congress MLA K.C. Veerendra Puppy were searched by sleuths of Directorate of Enforcement (ED)-Bengaluru in Karnataka and other states on Friday in connection with illegal online and offline betting. A first-time MLA, Veerendra Puppy, represents the Chitradurga Assembly seat.

A team of ED officials arrived at the residence of Veerendra Puppy in Chitradurga in the morning when he was away in Bengaluru. A family source confirmed the search on the residence and assured cooperation with the ED.

It was said that as many as 30 locations were searched by ED team including six locations in Chitradurga, 10 in Bengaluru, three in Jodhpur, one in Hubballi, two in Mumbai and eight locations in Goa, which includes Puppy’s Casino Gold, Ocean Rivers Casino, Puppy’s Casino Pride, Ocean 7 Casino and Big Daddy Casino.

The searches by ED threw light on Puppy conducting several online betting sites in the name of King567, Raja567, Puppy’s 003, Rathna Gaming, among others.

The ED searches revealed three businesses run by K.C. Thippeswamy, brother of Veerendra Puppy, from Dubai, such as Diamond Softech, TRS Technologies and Prime9technologies, which are reportedly connected to call centres services and gaming business of Congress MLA.
